This book continues the story of humanity's rebellion against the interstellar empire created and controlled by the machines. This one was both a challenge and a pleasure to write; the storyline is complex, unfolding on multiple worlds, and the technology of robotics and artificial intelligence are endlessly fascinating to me, which is why this series explores many facets of those topics simultaneously.
